The City of Estevan has released details for its fall Operation Clean Sweep.
Residents from the City of Estevan can drop off their extra trash and bulky items free of charge from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 16, until 4 p.m. on Oct. 18 at the City of Estevan Landfill.
Residents can bring residential waste, yard waste, construction and demolition debris, and bulky items.
Participants are required to adhere to the social distancing guidelines.
Visitors to the landfill should be ready with valid identification — driver’s licence or some other government-issued ID — to show proof of residency to the cashier.
All loads are subject to inspection and must be tarped in accordance with city bylaw 96-1489 11.(2), which states all loads must be completely covered or secured to prevent littering while in transport to the landfill.
Commercial vehicles are subject to applicable rates.
Electronic waste and household hazardous waste will not be accepted. For a list of nonacceptable items and information where these items can be disposed of appropriately, visit http://estevan.ca/householdhazardouswaste/
