A trio of judges made notes and taste-tested six different pies for the pie contest held to mark International Pie Day on Wednesday at the Wor-Kin Shop. The judges included Glenn Rogers, Curtis Brooks and Mayor Marcel Roy, and the winner was Kathryn Erickson. Her father Gary Erickson accepted the ribbon for her from Deborah Acton, production supervisor for the Harvest Pie Company; he had also entered and placed third. Samples of the pies were then made available to everyone who came to watch the judging.
