Police seek information regarding a theft

Members of the Estevan Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance with a theft that occurred early Wednesday. Police received a call from a local convenience store at approximately 1 a.m. that day.

Members of the Estevan Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance with a theft that occurred early Wednesday.

Police received a call from a local convenience store at approximately 1 a.m. that day. A white male entered the store and took several items, putting them in a backpack. When confronted by staff, the suspect ran from the store.

He is described as approximately 5’7” with a medium build and dark hair. He was wearing black pants, a plain grey bunny hug and a pink face mask. The backpack he was carrying had a camouflage pattern on it.

In other recent police news, officers responded to a disturbance call at a local restaurant Wednesday. Upon arrival, one of the people involved had left the premises. The matter remains under investigation.

A report of vandalism was received from a school in north Estevan. Individuals used paint or a marker to write or draw on the outside walls of the school. No suspects have been identified at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

Police received a Report Impaired Drivers call Tuesday. Members located the vehicle and checked the driver, who provided a sample of his breath into the approved screening device and passed the exam.

Members received a report of individuals riding on the exterior of a motor vehicle. Police were unable to locate the vehicle but the matter is still under investigation.
