The life of St. Francis of Assisi is celebrated on October 4 worldwide. St. Francis was an Italian Monk who led a very simple life. He is the patron saint of animals.

The students of CES were welcomed back to school this year with a BBQ put on by the CES School Community Council with help from the Carlyle Lions Club. The BBQ took place the evening before the first day of school.

PureChem Services held a customer appreciation day on Thursday, Sept. 27. Thanking the community and everyone for being involved in their success PureChem was quite a busy place for lunch. It was a beautifully warm fall day with the sun shining down.

The Canadian Library Association announced that October would be Canadian Library Month. Canadian Library Month is a celebration of libraries across Canada and the importance they play in the lives of everyday people.
