Pangman (cpd) - Brittany Rowland, a Grade 10 student from Pangman, competed in the national competition for power lifting in Calgary on April 12. She participated in three events and broke three national records.

Members of the Young Fellows Club of Weyburn gather with representatives of the Triple C Centre on May 1, as the Young Fellows make a commitment to donate a total of $100,000 as the club celebrates its 90th anniversary.

From April 23-29, the Weyburn Police Service attended to 116 calls for service. A number of the calls were related to the use of alcohol, and there were a number of domestic conflicts as well as noise complaints.

The Kisbey Volunteer Fire Department had an opportunity to use a building in the southwest of town for practice. Brody Singleton owner of the lot, who wanted the building demolished, offered it to the Volunteer Fire Department.

Monday April 16, 2012, marked the second day of karate instruction in Kisbey. A weekly event now held on Mondays at the Kisbey Recreational Centre from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thirty-three people signed up to partake with great interest.
