A talented young equine rider of Bienfait is going to represent Canada on the global stage next year.

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings announced today that they have traded 2000 born forward, Tyson McLean, to the Humboldt Broncos for a Player Development Fee. During his time with the Red Wings, McLean scored four goals and had three assists.

Chad Farr says bringing midget AAA hockey to Estevan has been a dream for people on the Estevan Minor Hockey Association (EMHA) board and in the community for a long time. That dream is now a reality.

The Weyburn Comp Eagles senior girls volleyball team will be hosting the SHSAA Provincial 5A Volleyball Championships on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15-16. The girls went to Estevan over the weekend where they finished fourth in the regionals.

The Carlyle Cougars hosted the rival Arcola/Kisbey Combines Friday, Nov. 8 at the Carlyle Sports Arena. The rink was very busy, the community having made every effort to see this night would be a special one.

The Estevan Minor Hockey Association has been awarded a male midget AAA hockey team for the 2020-21 season that will represent all of southeast Saskatchewan.
