Hunter Chipley’s pursuit of success in the world of archery has led to him being selected for the Archery Canada national development squad.

The Bienfait Coalers continued to roll in the Big Six Hockey League, as they defeated the league-leading Carnduff Red Devils 3-2 in overtime on Jan. 7 at the Bienfait Memorial Arena for the Coalers seventh straight win.

The Power Dodge Curling Centre hosted the Last Chance Qualifying Bonspiel for the upcoming Scotties Tournament of Hearts women’s provincial curling championships in Melville, and it proved to be a great weekend for two teams with local connections.

The best men’s and women’s curling teams in Saskatchewan will be coming to Estevan to compete in provincial tournaments in 2021.

The Estevan Bruins had goals from nine different players in a dominant 9-1 victory over the host Yorkton Terriers Tuesday night. Yorkton actually opened the scoring, when Kaeden Taphorn scored 35 seconds into the game.

The Estevan Motor Speedway has released its tentative schedule for the 2020 season. The schedule features several double-header weekends this year and numerous other race programs.
