Estevan’s Cole Fonstad and Brayden Pachal scored for the Prince Albert Raiders in the first period of Monday night’s game against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies at the Memorial Cup in Halifax, N.S.

The second race program of the year at the Estevan Motor Speedway featured all five classes in action. For the second straight program, Travis Hagen won the modified feature.

Weyburn player Nya Prochinsky headed up the field with the soccer ball, pursued by players from Redvers during a league game at Jubilee Park on May 14. The Weyburn girls easily handled the mixed team from Redvers, handing them a 6-0 loss.

After months of inter-provincial competition, the 2019 14-and-under Western National Championship was played this past weekend in Calgary, with eight boys and eight girls’ teams competing for the title of Western National Champions League.
