For the third consecutive year, the Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) Elecs cheerleaders have won a provincial title.

The Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs senior boys basketball team wrapped up their first appearance at the Hoopla provincial basketball tournament in 25 years Saturday.

Down 2-0 entering the third period, and with their season on the line, there didn’t appear to be much hope for the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins. But two goals sent the game to overtime, and then Tanner Manz scored the biggest goal of his life.

For the first time in the team’s history, the Yellow Grass Wheat Kings are the Big 6 League Champions. On Thursday night, the Wheat Kings and the Carnduff Devils met in Yellow Grass for game three of the league championship series.

The Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs senior boys basketball team picked up a win at Hoopla on Friday morning. Estevan defeated Saskatoon's Walter Murray Collegiate 74-55 in a consolation round game in Saskatoon.

The Estevan Gymnastics Club's competitive and pre-competitive teams attended the Queen City Gymnastics Club Invitational on March 16 and 17.

The Estevan Western Star Signature Hotel atom tier 1 Bruins season came to an end on March 15, but it wasn’t from a lack of effort. The Bruins lost 8-6 to the Swift Current Broncos at the Power Dodge Ice Centre.

The season might have come to an end earlier than the South East midget AA Goldwings female hockey team would have liked, but their coach is still pleased with the progress shown by the team in their first campaign.
