The Gladmar Falcons senior girls basketball team came home with the silver medal from Hoopla, to cap off a highly successful basketball season, along with the sportsmanship banner from the provincial championships.

The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins want to be the hosts for the 2021 national junior A championship. The Bruins officially submitted their bid document for the tournament on Tuesday afternoon to Hockey Canada.

The Beck family of Lang will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, in the family category on Saturday, August 17, in Battleford. Russell Beck was born on the farm west of Lang, in 1914.

Members of the Estevan Taekwon-do Club had an excellent showing at the Global Taekwon-do Federation provincial competition held in Warman on the weekend. Twenty-four members of the club competed, and they brought home 32 medals in total.

The Prince Albert Raiders have advanced to the Western Hockey League (WHL) final. The Raiders defeated the host Edmonton Oil Kings 4-2 on Sunday night to win the best of seven Eastern Conference Final in six games.
