The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins showcased their abilities for their fans during the team’s inaugural skills competition Saturday afternoon at Affinity Place.

The Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins season came to an end on Friday night in a 6-1 loss to the Swift Current Broncos at Affinity Place. Swift Current swept the best-of-five series in three straight games.

The Mark Walter rink, competing out of the Lampman Curling Club, won two of seven games at the provincial senior men’s curling championship in Melville from Feb. 27 to March 3. The eight-team tournament used a round robin format.

The Estevan Youth Soccer Association experienced some growth during the 2018 season. The organization held its annual general meeting Sunday at the Estevan Public Library.

The TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course reflected on its past year during the organization’s annual general meeting on Feb. 26. Jeff Ward, who has been the president for the past two years, said it was another strong year at the course.

The Estevan Atom Tier II Bruins went to Minot, N.D., this past weekend to participate in the 2019 Minot Tournament of Champions. They battled to the top of their pool, facing teams from Bismarck, N.D., Regina, and Minot.

The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins are planning a few events prior to the start of their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League quarter-final series with the Humboldt Broncos.
