A trio of minor hockey players from southeast Saskatchewan have helped the Tisdale Trojans win the bronze medal at the Telus Cup national midget AAA hockey championship in Thunder Bay, Ont.

Three former NHL tough guys shared stories from their professional hockey careers during the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins annual Sportsman’s Dinner Thursday night at the Power Dodge Curling Centre.

A few youths from southeast Saskatchewan travelled down to North Dakota earlier this month for the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge 28th annual 8-Ball Classic Pool Tournament in New Town, N.D.

It’s going to be another busy year for the Estevan Minor Baseball Association. The local house leagues for the association will start up on April 29.
