The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins had a lot of 2018 playoff firsts Tuesday night on home ice for Game 4 of the Canalta Cup semifinal against the Battlefords North Stars.

Local football player Derek Beaubien was chosen by Team Canada to represent Canada on the U16 West All Star Team at the world championship. The world championship will be held January 12 - 19, 2019 at the AT &T stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The Estevan Bruins are coming home with a 2-0 Canalta Cup semifinal series lead after a 7-2 win in North Battleford.

The Men’s Annual Bonspiel was held March 23 – 25 at the Assiniboia Curling Club to wrap up the 2018 curling season. With 24 teams entered for this year’s bonspiel, many teams traveled from out-of-town to participate in this year’s event.
