For the first time since 2014, the Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs have been defeated in the McLeod Series by the Weyburn Comprehensive School Eagles. The Elecs lost both games in Weyburn on Tuesday night to drop the best-of-four series 3-1.

The Weyburn U14 Cobras volleyball club team came home with a gold medal from a Sask. Cup tournament in Saskatoon over the weekend. This was a 31-team tournament, with teams from around the province taking part, and the Cobras were undefeated.

Do you have a date for Valentine’s Day? The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins (27-17-3-2) do, although it’s not probably one that will be filled with a lot of love. The Bruins play their first home game in weeks on Feb.

The Estevan Mermaids synchronized swim club remains one of the largest in the province. The club has 85 swimmers who gather at the RM of Estevan Aquatic Centre twice a week for practice, and travel to several meets a year.
