The Weyburn Beavers hammered out 20 hits to win game one of the eastern division final over the Swift Current 57s on Monday night.

The Southeast SuperNovas Girls Softball team (pictured here) will compete at the Western Canadian Softball Championships, Aug. 4 to 7 in North Battleford.

The Weyburn Police Association will be hosting a golf tournament at the Weyburn Golf Club on Friday, August 18. The tournament is open to the public and the proceeds will be donated to the Weyburn Humane Society.

Garnet Hansen will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, in the individual category, during an awards ceremony to be held in Battleford on Saturday, August 19. Garnet was born in Oungre and grew up playing baseball and hockey.
