The Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wings have announced their 2017-2018 coaching staff. Tom Harrison will be the new head coach, and assistant coaches are Jason Hennes and Jerry LaFoy.

Members and guests of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce will be able to get “Linked On the Links”, at their annual golf tournament set for Thursday, Aug. 10 at the Weyburn Golf Course. Registration will take place at the golf course from 1 to 2 p.m.

Submitted by Jennifer Belles The U16 Assiniboia Aces softball team captured the Moose Jaw League championship. They will now compete at the Western Canadian championships. The team has played an exiting season so far this year.

Graham DeLaet finished tied in 48th place at the RBC Canadian Open. Currently, DeLaet is ranked 74th in the FedExCup, which puts him in a good place before the start of the PGA playoffs. He has made $1,269,804 so far during the 2017 PGA Tour season.

The summer golf season is coming to a close for Estevan's Jayden Dudas, but he's still racking up the wins and good performances.

Local motocross racers only had the one stop of their circuit in Estevan this year, but well over 100 came out to enjoy the hot day at the track, according to organizers.
