The Estevan TS&M peewee AA Tornadoes opened the season by playing doubleheaders on the road against the Swift Current 57s and the Regina Buffaloes. The first game against the 57s was the closest, as they lost 7-6.

The Southeast Performance Pump midget AAA Twins split a doubleheader in Regina against the White Sox on Sunday. The Twins took the first game 9-7, although coach Kent Phillips said the game was likely closer than it should have been.
