The Estevan 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games have officially come to a close. Saskatchewan Games Council chairperson Julie Brandt announced the close of the week-long multi-sport event a little before 6 p.m.

It was another terrific day for Team South East during the final day of competition at the Estevan 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games. The host team added to their medal count with success in canoe-kayak, equestrian, swimming, tennis and volleyball.

There is a strong Saskatchewan contingent of athletes who are competing in the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Team South East thrived on land and in the water during the fifth day of competition at the Estevan 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games. The host entry won 13 medals, bringing their total to 38. They have won 10 gold, 11 silver and 17 bronze.
