On February 13 and 14, six members of the Weyburn Comp Eagles Wrestling team competed in a tournament in Moose Jaw.

The PeeWee 1 Young Fellows travelled to Manitoba February 13-15 for the Brandon Tournament of Champions. The first game against the Winnipeg Railcats was a 6-6 tie. They swept Melfort in the next game with a score of 7-0.

A week after announcing that Phil Curtis is returning for his third season as head coach and the signing of Joe Sergent as an assistant Coach, the Beavers have added another piece to their coaching staff.

The boys of summer will soon be back in Weyburn eager to play ball.

This week was a slower one for the Vipers as there were no tournaments scheduled for either the 15U or 18U teams. Both teams practiced throughout the week, while the 18U team scheduled a game against Estevan on Monday, Feb.

High-intensity games wow large crowd

The Estevan TS&M bantam AA Bruins concluded the regular season with two straight road losses against the Regina Pat Blues and the Weyburn Crescent Point Wings. The Bruins lost to Regina 5-4 in a close contest on Feb.

The Estevan Power Tech midget AA Panthers failed to make it past round one in the Saskatchewan Hockey Association provincial playoff, losing a two-game, total-goals series to the Regina Capitals.

The Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins recently landed back in the win column by defeating the Melville Millionaires and Yorkton Kinsmen Terriers on the road, and also earned a home win over the Lumsden/Bethune Lions. Estevan overcame Yorkton 4-3 on Feb.

The Estevan Power Dodge bantam A Chargers wrapped up their two-game series against the Weyburn Olympia Fitness, with a 6-1 victory at the Civic Auditorium on Feb. 11.
