The Carlyle Cougar Senior Girls Volleyball Team hosted their annual invitational tournament. Teams from Oxbow, Stoughton, Carnduff, Manor/Wawota, and Lampman attended the two-day event.

The Bruins have been scouring the trade market for the last 10 days and today they completed two deals. The first one brings in some much-needed scoring help as 20-year-old right winger Roger Tagoona comes over from the Battlefords North Stars.

Bruins defenceman Tyler Kauk is headed to Calgary in a few days to attend the main camp for Canada West for this year's World Junior A Challenge. Kauk, 19, was one of seven SJHL players on the camp roster announced last night.
