The Estevan Motor Speedway has released their tentative race dates for the upcoming season. Once again, the EMS will be featuring IMCA modifieds, stock cars and hobby stocks on their regular race program.

The past week the Novice team travelled to Redvers on Thursday, Dec 13th and had Kipling visit on Saturday, Dec 15th. The team has been progressing well, improving their skills and teamwork.

On December 12, the QMax Wild traveled to Arcola for a rematch against Carlyle. The Qmax were defeated by a score of 6-3. Scoring for the Wild were Dylan Jones, Nick Zerie and Konrad Proszak.

It has been a busy two weeks of hockey for our team. The Carlyle Cougars travelled to Redvers on Friday, December 7. The Cougars came out strong and dominated the game from the beginning.

Lacrosse in Estevan is a tight-knit group, and last week, that group lost one of its own. Tyson Juhlke, 21, died in a car accident on Dec. 13.

The Estevan Apex midget AA Bruins found success in the opposing zone on the weekend scoring six goals in each of their games. Coach Dalton Giblett chalked up the offensive success to a renewed focus on special teams.

The CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins were unable to generate any offence on Saturday night as they were downed by the Yorkton Terriers 6-0. The loss came after a midweek game against the Terriers on home ice in which the Bruins came out on top.
