The rosters for the CJHL Prospects Game were announced today and Estevan Bruins defenceman Zach Douglas was the only SJHL player to be selected to the Team West entry.

The Estevan Bruins will be without starting goaltender Curtis Martinu for the next three games. The SJHL handed down suspensions to him and Nipawin Hawks forward Tad Kozun on Monday for their part in an incident prior to the third period on Saturday.

The Weyburn Midget AA Petrobakken Energy Wings took their show on the road this past weekend for a pair of games in the South Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League.

The Arcola Senior Boys Volleyball Team has been having quite the season with a record of 28 wins and two losses. On Oct. 27th the team, made up of four grade 12s, 4 grade 11s, and three grade 10s, hosted their home tournament.

In the spring of this year Bill Fong of Assiniboia was contacted to act as a liaison for a volleyball exchange with China.

Estevan Bruins defenceman Tyler Kauk was one of 60 players to participate in the main camp for Canada West for this year's World Junior A Challenge. The camp began Sunday and wraps up today in Calgary.

Drivers, board members, volunteers and supporters of Estevan Motor Speedway gathered on Saturday to celebrate its best from the 2012 racing season. The track held its annual awards banquet at the Days Inn Plaza.
