With the end of the Saskatchewan Summer Games in Meadow Lake, Team South East received a special bonus for their efforts.

Russell Lenferna and Team Canada captured the bronze medal in men's play at the UANA Pan American Junior (19U) Water Polo Championships held in Montreal from August 10-18. After the week-long event, Brazil upset the U.S.

The dust was flying in every direction at Lion's Park on Saturday, as the summer's Southeast Saskatchewan Leisure Slo-Pitch teams all met up for an end of season tournament.

The Carlyle Golf Club has held a Junior Tournament for at least a decade. This year's tournament was held on Aug. 15. Dedicated youth, 18-and-under, bundled up to partake in the day.

Bantam club loses tiebreaker for berth in gold medal game

The Estevan Motor Speedway will have their championship night on Saturday, August 25. There will be also a regular race on Friday, August 24. There was a race at the Estevan Motor Speedway on August 10.

The Weyburn Beavers will bring back Dan Grant as their head coach next summer. Grant took over the head coach position after Angelo Nicolosi was fired in early July.

It was a tough start to the season for the Estevan Century 21 Chargers, as the peewee football club was shut out 48-0 by the Regina Riders in their season opener Saturday in Regina.
