The RBC Hometown Champions Cheer Tour will be making a stop in Weyburn this Friday. The tour invites Canadians to show their love and support for Canada's Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

Well you have to hand it to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. They have surprised us in each and every one of their first five games of the 2012 CFL season. The trouble is, it hasn't always been a pleasant surprise.

A miserable season for the Southeast Legacy Twins ended in much the same fashion on the weekend, as the baseball club crashed out of the provincial midget AAA championship in Saskatoon with an 0-3 record.

The Weyburn Beavers started the first round of the Western Major Baseball League playoffs on Tuesday night. The Beavers play the Regina Red Sox in the first round.

Graham DeLaet earned the title as the lowest Canadian on the course for the RBC Canadian Open, winning the Rivermead Cup.
