It didn’t take long for the Civic's walls to come down

We knew the day was coming. It didn’t make it any easier. The demolition crews went to work on Tuesday afternoon to tear down the Civic Auditorium. And they moved quickly. Much of the old barn was in piles of wood and metal by the end of the day.

Cheers and Jeers for May 18

Cheers to the man who picked up and bagged all the winter garbage that was thrown into the ditches on the north side of Estevan and along Highway 47 in the rural municipality.

In defence of B.C.

I can understand why it might not be the best time to admit that I’m from B.C. The province hasn’t exactly endeared itself to people in other provinces with its stance over Kinder Morgan’s Trans-Mountain Pipeline Expansion.
Our summer fun awaits

The Victoria Day long weekend is often regarded as the unofficial start of summer, but for people in this area, many of the attractions associated with summer are already here. The Estevan Motor Speedway opened its 2018 season last Saturday.
