I was doing some research for my column and I came across these 100 tips from bembu.com. There were some absurd resolutions like No. 7 – Stop Twerking and No. 16 Quit Farting So Much, but nonetheless, entertaining to read.

Neil Fisher, the Saskatchewanderer for 2016, had a year full of adventure that will not be forgotten. Travelling the province since January, Neil both Saskatche-wandered and Saskatche-wondered.

Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour is headed to Moose Jaw for a weekend celebration of hockey on January 7 and 8. This ultimate hockey festival will feature appearances by hometown heroes and broadcast hosts Ron MacLean and Tara Slone.

The Weyburn police became aware on Dec. 19 that two 13-year-old male youths were in possible possession of a prohibited weapon. Upon investigating they confirmed that the youth were in possession of what is commonly referred to as a butterfly knife.

The winners of the 2016 YouthBiz entrepreneurship competition were announced by Community Futures Sunrise.

Janice Diane Duke born March 10, 1954 late of Weyburn, formerly from Yellow Grass and Francis. It is with great sadness that the family of Janice announces her passing on December 19, 2016 at the age of 62.

Brian Thomas Walter, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at the age of 59 years. He was predeceased by his father, Jack and his sister, Elaine. Brian was born April 17, 1957 at the Regina General Hospital to Dorothy and Jack Walter.
