It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Renata Gizela Sliwka on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the age of 74. Renata was born in Chelmno, Poland and immigrated to Canada by herself in 1970 in search of a better life.

In the early hours of November 11, 2016, Vance Clayton Molder lost his courageous battle against cancer at the age of 82 years. He died peacefully in the palliative care unit in Weyburn.

Carol Ann Geiger, aged 62 years of Moose Jaw, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 after a long fought battle with dementia. Carol married Dwain Geiger on November 23, 1973 and they were just shy of celebrating their 43rd anniversary together.

The Weyburn Red Wings lost 4-3 to the Notre Dame Hounds in a shootout, during a home game held at Crescent Point Place on Saturday.

The annual WCS Fowl Supper, probably the last fowl supper of the season, will be held in the Cugnet Centre from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. (note starting time) on Thursday, Dec. 1.
