Donald Alexander Watson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the age of 87 years.

Margaret Malley of Weyburn, formerly of Yellow Grass, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2016 at the age of 99.

To the Editor: Election time is almost here. I wonder if we could get a 75 per cent voter turn out? Or higher ? We have multiple choices in our city elections this year. Some things to think about before you mark your ballot.

Weyburn police responded to a 911 call to a residence in the 10 block of 12th Street NE at about 9 p.m. on Friday. As a result of the call, a 26-year-old female was arrested at the scene and after a mild struggle was taken into custody.

Impaired driving is the traffic safety spotlight for the month of October. Throughout the month, police across the province will be watching for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
