Weyburn Review

The Weyburn Police Service has received numerous complaints of fraudulent calls being received in Weyburn. The fraud is perpetrated through a conversation where the caller identifies themselves as their son and they have been in a car accident.

The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Regina, as part of its outreach with the wider community, recently brought in a guest speaker and survivors of ovarian cancer.

Elva Evelyn Hemphill, late of Weyburn, passed away on April 14, 2016 at the age of 95 years.

Anne Marie Ellingson, late of Weyburn, passed away April 10, 2016, at the age of 92 years at the Weyburn General Hospital.

Sales total $73.5M, with $3.9M returned to members

The April 12 sale of Crown petroleum and natural gas dispositions raised a total of just over $3 million, with the vast majority of that coming from the Weyburn-Estevan area. The sale totalled $3,072,209, which is an average of $352.11 per hectare.
