Weyburn and surrounding area is now home to one of seven dogs in Canada that are part of the Pacific Assistance Dog Society (PADS) program, based out of Burnaby, B.C.

Much of the province received scattered rainfall that helped replenish topsoil moisture conditions in some regions. However, significant rain is needed soon in many areas to help crops, hay and pasture develop.

Former Weyburn Red Wing Coach Dwight McMillan was inducted into the Walk of Fame at a ceremony held at City Hall on June 20. McMillan was honoured in the Athletics and Recreation category, for his 37 year dedication to the team.

The family of Ken and Jo Anne Cugnet gathered at the unveiling of plaques honouring the couple during Walk of Fame ceremonies held June 20.
