Gains for wholesale trade

Wholesale trade jumped 17.9 per cent in April 2015 over last April, almost three times the national average of 6.7 per cent according to Statistics Canada. Saskatchewan had the highest percentage increase among the provinces.

Weyburn City Council held their regular council meeting on June 22 before moving to one meeting per month for July and August. Many of the Council items dealt with the kick off to summer.

Minimum wage to increase October 1

Saskatchewan's minimum wage will increase to $10.50 from $10.20 per hour, effective October 1, 2015. This is the seventh increase in the minimum wage since 2007.
