Saskatchewan families have received more than $6.7 million from the Saskatchewan Advantage Grant for Education Savings (SAGES) program since the program was announced. More than 26,000 children in the province are now SAGES recipients.

On April 25, the Weyburn Police Service responded to an urgent call for assistance at a local bar. A number of individuals were reported to be fighting. The incident was over on police arrival and is still under investigation.

The Weyburn Skating Club held their annual awards night on April 20 at the Tom Zandee Sports Arena.

The strongest athletes from across the country were in St. John's, NL from April 7-11 competing at the Canadian Powerlifting Union National Championships.
