Casting calls for musical set in January

There is growing interest in the upcoming casting calls for “Rocky Horror Show” for Crocus 80 Theatre. Casting calls will be held at the Tommy Douglas Performing Arts Centre on Monday, Jan. 5 and Thursday, Jan. 8, both at 7 p.m.

Eagles team to host ‘Pink Tournament’

The Comp Eagles girls basketball team will have a special “Pink Tournament” as their first home tournament of the basketball season. The tournament is set for Friday and Saturday, Jan. 9 and 10, 2015.

Library in Midale starts new hours

Midale (cpd) — Beginning on Friday, January 2, the Midale Public Library will be open three days a week. The new hours will be as follows: Tuesdays 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursdays from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Weyburn police investigate damage to hydrant by truck

City police received a report that a vehicle had struck a fire hydrant in the 500 block of Dieppe Drive on Dec. 27 and fled the scene.
