Caitlin Dempsey, a 1996 third year forward for the Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wings, is the month's First Star. Dempsey recorded four goals and four assists for the month.

Dr. Dimitri Louvish has been appointed by the Sun Country Health Region as Vice President Medical, effective March 3, 2014. Louvish will fill the position left by the resignation of Dr. Alain Lenferna.

Year-end awards and scholarships given

Neil Allison "Al" Watson, late of Yellow Grass, passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 aged 78 years.

Between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m. on Feb. 27, a black 2006 Dodge Ram was stolen from a residence located on Johnston Drive. The stolen truck has Saskatchewan licence number "LNSBRY" on it.

Alfred Gordon Robinson was born on January 5, 1940 on the farm south of Weyburn and passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 7, 2014. Alf grew up on the farm, the second oldest of Stan and Dorothy Robinson's four children.
