Canada Day is just around the corner and those looking to celebrate the nation's birth will have ample chance to do so in Weyburn come Sunday, July 1. Breakfast is a great way to start off any day, and Canada Day is no exception.

During the week of June 18-24, the Weyburn Police Service attended to 133 calls for service. A complaint was received regarding a mischief to patio doors of an apartment building in the northwest area of the city on June 18.

One man was fatally injured on Monday when the tractor he was driving was struck by a train. The collision occurred one kilometre north of Weyburn just off Highway 39 at about 4 p.m.
