SARCAN sees increase in recycling

Last year was a busy year for the SARCAN Recycling depot in Weyburn, which was the organization's 40th year in Weyburn. The depot had increases in the amount of paint and the number of electronics it collected.

The Weyburn Relay for Life committee are facing a shortage of volunteers to put on their 2012 Relay for Life. "We are desperately in need of people," said Kathy Woycik, the volunteer committee chair for the Weyburn Relay for Life.

Walk to support Jesse's Journey

The third annual Walk to End Duchenne will be happening on Saturday, May 12. The event was initiated by a Weyburn couple, Andrew Kerr and his wife Mandy. The Kerrs have two young sons with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
