A fall convocation celebration for 518 new University of Regina graduates was held on October 14 at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. The awards were presented by Dr. Vianne Timmons, President and Vice-Chancellor at the University of Regina.

Diabetes Walk set for November 13

Weyburn's Juvenile Diabetes Walk is scheduled for Sunday, November 13. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. at the City Centre Mall and the Walk starts at 1:30 p.m.

Petro Bakken Wings win first game of regular season

The Petro Bakken Midget Wings kicked off their first regular season with a home game on October 9 and came away with a win to get the season off to a good start. The Wings defeated the Regina Flames by a score of 5-4.

Thefts under investigation

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of October 10 to16: During this reporting period police dealt with 123 calls for service. Many of the calls were alcohol related. Several driving complaints were also received.
