To the Editor: The wheels of justice turn very slowly, and in the case of a demoted teacher and principal, this time has been extremely damaging to himself and his family.

Saskatchewan has five new confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of May 12, bringing the provincial total to 573. All of the new cases are in the Far North (three in the Beauval area and two in La Loche). Of the 573 reported cases, 193 are considered active.

Weyburn police received a complaint that a rear fence in the 700 block of Elm Crescent had been damaged on May 4.

Weyburn city council approved an overage on the 2019 budget for the Weyburn Police Service of $194,410, at their meeting on Monday evening conducted via Zoom.

A 37-year-old former Fillmore man was charged, along with a 37-year-old Regina man with several weapons charges, including the manufacturing of prohibited weapons, by the Regina Police Service on Friday.
