The owners and employees of Jerry Mainil Ltd. have been fighting for the oil and gas industry in southeast Saskatchewan, and will be continuing that fight as they carry on with the business started 58 years ago by Jerry Mainil.

Weyburn’s 19 th annual Old-Tyme Fiddle Contest will have its final competition on Saturday, June 1, at the Upper Grace Hall of Grace United Church. Registration for fiddlers opens at 11:30 a.m., and the competition will begin at 1 p.m.

Kailynn Bursic-Panchuk was preoccupied with her cellphone when she drove into the path of a train; the resulting collision was catastrophic and left the Weyburn teenager in critical condition.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce announced the plans for the annual Summer Fair Parade. The Parade will take place on Thursday, July 4th and will launch at 10:30 a.m.

The Horizon String Quartet performed a number of classical music selections for the students and staff of Assiniboia Park School on May 29.
