The service rig industry, a vital part of Alberta and Saskatchewan's oil and gas sector, has been needlessly restricted by unnecessary rules that limit movement between work sites and across provincial borders.

Weyburn police received a report of a break-and-enter and assault in progress on Sunday. Upon attending to the residence, a male with non-life threatening injuries was observed.

Cyclist Joan Kathleen Thompson, a retired B.C. teacher, brought the “Ride for Sheila Rae” through Weyburn on Monday, and she gave a presentation that evening at the Weyburn Public Library.

The Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show is gearing up for a two-day exhibition at the Weyburn fair grounds on Wednesday and Thursday, June 5 and 6, featuring two high-profile keynote speakers, Vivian Krause and Rex Murphy.
