The Beck family of Lang will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, in the family category on Saturday, August 17, in Battleford. Russell Beck was born on the farm west of Lang, in 1914.

Weyburn police received a report of a break-and-enter and theft to a residence on April 22. The complainant had found the door to their house open and items in the home moved. The incident remains under investigation.
