Weyburn Review

The staff and students of Queen Elizabeth School will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the school with a program and activities on Thursday, March 23. The program will begin in the gym at 2:30 p.m.

The weekly report provided by the Weyburn Police Service makes it painfully and obviously clear that public education about impaired driving needs to continue, and the efforts to inform the public cannot relent in any way.

The Weyburn Review and Weyburn This Week are both finalists for Best Editorial Page in the Saskatchewan Weekly Newspapers Association Better Newspapers Competition. The Weyburn Review is nominated in Class C with a circulation of 2,000 to 3,499.

Nancy Anne Day, late of Weyburn, passed away February 28, 2017 at the age of 75 years. She was predeceased by her parents: Neil (Orville) and Marian (Tiny) Griffin; her husband Allan Day; brother Robert.

Raymond Kenneth Adolph Heebner passed away peacefully Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the age of 82 years.

“I’ve lived, I’ve loved, I’ve died”. Mom was tired of reading obituaries noting someone’s courageous battle with death instead of a little humour. So let’s see what we can do.

A doubly auspicious day

The Weyburn Red Wings finished the regular season in eighth place overall, which means they will have home ice advantage in the Wild Card series. They will face up against the Kindersley Klippers, who finished ninth.
