Members of the Weyburn Police Service were busy on Weyburn streets for three hours on Wednesday evening, as part of a high-visibility campaign by the police to curb driving infractions and to crack down on drunk driving.

City police responded to a report of a break-and-enter to City of Weyburn property on Sunday, where several items were reported stolen. The investigation is ongoing. • Police also had numerous complaints of hit-and-runs, which is a weekly occurrence.

The Weyburn Humane Society is hosting their annual Gigantic Garage Sale in a new venue this year. The garage sale will be at the Weyburn Curling Rink and the hours of operation are noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
