During the week of November 14-18, Parkland College joined educational institutions from across Canada and over 100 other countries in celebrating the 12th annual International Education Week (IEW).

The new Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) president Bill Chow was in Yorkton last weekend to take in the SJHL Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies.

The Weyburn Red Wings shutout the Yorkton Terriers 4-0 in the Terriers final game of their extended road series at Crescent Point Place in Weyburn.

Following a somewhat less than stellar performance on the extended road series, the Yorkton Harvest have had a good week on home ice, winning two of three games for the week.

The Christmas season is coming quick, and the best way to ring it in is with the songs of the season. St. Andrew's United Church is bringing back the Magic of Christmas, and bringing together three local choirs to sing the songs of the season.

It seems you can take the boy out of sports but you can't take sports out of the boy. Apart from the obvious health and fitness benefits, active recreational activity through sports can be a great way to spend an evening.
