The Government of Saskatchewan has joined with the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan (MCoS) to proclaim November 20-26 as Multicultural Week in Saskatchewan.

Local baseball personality Wade Karcha has been associated with the sport in Yorkton for some 20 years. He started when his own youngsters became involved with t-ball and then followed as they moved up to play minor baseball.

The U10 Kinsmen Storm recently attended their first tournament of the season in Regina. The tournament for the U10 Storm began Friday evening against Regina ACFC Black and the Storm's name rang true just like the weather.

The 2011 high school boys 5A provincial championships, hosted by P.A. Carleton, wrapped up over the weekend with the provincial gold medal going to P.A. St. Mary.
