It's needed equipment in the Sunrise Health Region and the Yorkton Lions have done their part to ensure Yorkton and area residents have access to it.

Do people have no common sense? I'm not referring to ALL people of course, but seriously there are so many out there who need to learn to think for themselves and not take everything they read or hear as "the gospel.

Yorkton's first annual Festival of Cultures saw 12 different cultures show their traditions through food, song and dances Sunday in Yorkton. It was a variety of smells, sounds and colors as people showed the things that make their culture unique.

I've addressed many issues in the House in my 18 years as M.P. for Yorkton-Melville. Over that time, I worked hard to expose the huge boondoggle known as the long-gun registry.

Settling in a week after the election, we can consider what went so wrong with the NDP campaign. Personally, I didn't see it coming, I figured that we would see a typical election from a largely happy province.

The Saints senior boys' volleyball team hosted the conference playoffs last week with five teams seeking a berth at regional playoffs; Sacred Heart, Melville, Fort Qu'Appelle, Balcarres and Kamsack.
