To the Editor: Positive thinking is a topic people could roll their eyes and shake their heads at in disgust. How can we be positive when our family members are dying? It seems more people are dealing with cancer, disease and also poverty.

Livestock was abundant at the annual Grain Miller's Harvest Showdown, especially horses. Horses were shown, driven, ridden, raced, performed tricks, chased down calves and steers and bucked off their would be riders.

Nominations are now being accepted for the sixth annual Saskatchewan Municipal Awards (SMA) Program.

We may have lengthy wait times and a severe shortage of health care professionals but I'm thinking we're far better off here in Canada than our neighbors south of the border - or at least those with no cash or coverage that is.

The Sacred Heart High School (SHHS) Senior Lady Saints hosted the 4A Conference playoffs at the Halo Dome Saturday.
