To the Editor: Positive thinking is a topic people could roll their eyes and shake their heads at in disgust. How can we be positive when our family members are dying? It seems more people are dealing with cancer, disease and also poverty.

Livestock was abundant at the annual Grain Miller's Harvest Showdown, especially horses. Horses were shown, driven, ridden, raced, performed tricks, chased down calves and steers and bucked off their would be riders.
