It's a worthwhile event and this year it will be happening in Yorkton. The Canadian Cancer Society has announced it will be holding its first ever Relay for Life event in Yorkton on June 24, 2011 at the Gloria Hayden Community Centre.

Yorkdale Central School hosted an elementary volleyball Tournament for both boys and girls over the weekend with the four boys' teams playing at Yorkdale while the eight girls' teams played at the Yorkton Regional High School (YRHS).
