As Saskatchewan grows, the need to get from place to place in the province grows as well.

To the Editor: When the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) recently pushed provincial politicians to improve disclosure of their expense accounts, we weren't expecting the reaction we received - full cooperation and immediate progress.

Accept it or not, we ARE a province and a country that is comprised of a multicultural society.

Unprecedented moisture in 2010 has prompted the federal and provincial governments to offer tax deferrals to a number of rural municipalities, many in the federal constituency of Yorkton-Melville.

An official review is complete and the SHR (Sunrise Health Region) has passed with flying colors.

The Yorkton Harvest put together back-to-back wins at home last week. Thursday, the Harvest outshot the visiting Notre Dame Hounds 30-18 to come out with a 5-1 wins over the dazed Hounds.

To the Editor: Manitoba banned the storage of high level nuclear waste in 1987. Quebec passed a similar ban. We need a legislated ban on the storage and transportation of high level nuclear waste in Saskatchewan.

The Yorkton Film Festival has wrapped up another successful annual general meeting with the welcoming of four new board members. New to the board are Dan Badowich and Geraldine Hippsley of Yorkton, Katrina Ham of Saskatoon and Dana Lesiuk of Regina.

The 2010-11 Yorkton Snowmobile Dealer's Tour kicked off with a pancake breakfast at Schrader Motors, hosted by the Yorkton Sno-Riders Snowmobile Club.

Yorkton United FC Storm Under-10 went undefeated with a 3-0 record at the recent Regina QC Breakaway Tournament . The Storm opened the tourney with a tight 3-2 decision over Regina ACFC on Friday night.
