The goal is to create an ongoing music scene in Yorkton and Saskat-chewan and if all goes as planned, local residents will no longer have a shortage of entertainment venues to enjoy.

Sunday, June 20, is Father's Day and all Yorkton and area dads are invited to the Western Development Museum to celebrate. In honor of the special day, all dads and their families are invited from 2-4 p.m.

The Music In the Parks Festival in Chicago, Il was a showcase for the Yorkton Regional High School's (YRHS) Music department. The bands took many awards during festival, which featured over 30 bands from throughout Canada and the USA.

There was plenty of action and fun for the whole family over the weekend as the CPCA Chuckwagon races took place in the city.

To the Editor: We are Canada. You know, the country with the greatest bodies of fresh water in the world. Ontario has about a quarter million of them - large and small.

The 11th Annual Charity Golf Classic had an exceptionally strong year with a record $120,660 in pledges raised by the golfers. The funds will purchase equipment for 16 facilities in 13 local communities in Sunrise Health Region.

To the Editor: It's hard to decide whether to be happy that Canadian senators are addressing a huge problem poisoning reserves, or weep at the ignorance this recent Senate report has revealed.

It's been in the works for the past several years but now plans should begin to unfold and hopefully take shape.

To the Editor: Yesterday I received in my mail box a very glossy four page folder extolling all the good things the Wall government is doing for the people of Saskatchewan.
