First of all, congratulations on your retirement! You have given so much to the community over the past 35 years and every person who has lived there, you have touched and will always remember you as kind, generous, hardworking people.

An example of “one of the wonderful things happening within the Good Spirit Teacher Association Equity Committee” is a program called Books for Babies, says the committee chairperson Robin Heshka of Canora, who teaches at Columbia School in Yorkton.

At last week’s annual information meetings, Gateway Co-op members learned that the planned construction of a C-store will commence in Canora in July. The annual information meeting in Canora was held on April 25 at the Rainbow Hall.

Following a few days of business interruption to allow for the ownership transition, Wong’s Restaurant re-opened Friday with Allan and Betty Wong eager to serve the community while gearing up for the busiest day of the year – Mother’s Day.
