John Fehr and Mary Sushelnitski won the tournament at the shuffleboard windup on April 18 at the Keen Age Centre. Bernice Rakochy and Peter Wiebe won the silver medals and Phyllis Pieper and Margaret Morhart won the bronze medals.

Several weeks ago when the covered Health Population report was released by Saskatchewan Health, Canora’s population number seemed greatly inflated at 3,262. That’s 520 persons more than were counted the previous year.

In addition to the half/mill general increase to municipal taxes, 61 property owners are going to feel an extra bite as Canora’s residential tax ceiling is removed.

Eleven of the 12 entries from the Canora Veselka School of Dance at the Brandon Troyanda School of Ukrainian competition on April 15-17 won gold medals – and the 12 th won the silver medal.
