The Canora foursome skipped by Jordan Zbitniff qualified for provincials in Unity on March 7-8 with a silver medal-winning performance at regionals.

Following their elimination from provincials, Canora got back on track with a series-clinching win over Wapella in SEHL playoff action.

With 14 teams entered, the popular Ted Palagian Memorial Two-Person Stick Bonspiel was held at Canora's Sylvia Fedoruk Centre on Feb. 17.

The week started on Monday morning with all staff being treated to hot coffee and delicious muffins, courtesy of the CJES School Community Council.

Attendees were informed how to recognize scam activity and prevent being exploited by individuals who look to take advantage of them.

A heart-warming crowd of over 60 people attended St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Service Group’s annual Valentine’s Tea and Bake Sale on Feb. 15, in spite of bitterly cold temperatures outside.

Coming to Canora are The Prairie Sons, made up of cellist David Liam Roberts, and pianist Godwin Friesen, who draw inspiration from the vast Canadian West,

The U15 Highway 9 Predators, with players from Canora, Norquay, Preeceville, Sturgis, Kamsack and Buchanan, battled to a 2-2 tie against the Esterhazy Flyers on Feb. 10.

The CCS Cougars senior girls basketball team hosted the Esterhazy Warriors on Feb. 12, with the Cougars prevailing 39-34 in a tightly-contested battle.
