Student athletes from Invermay School achieved numerous top-10 finishes and included several gold medal winners,

Everyone at school had the fortunate opportunity to audition for Blackbeard The Pirate directed by the Missoula Children’s Theatre.

Boys and girls aged six to 15 took part in sessions working on hitting, throwing, fielding and base running.

Tarrington Wyonzek, who has ties to Canora, worked a total of seven round robin games, as well as the quarter-final between U.S.A. and the host Czechia team.

In spite of the Supers offence only coming up with one hit, Canora players made the most of their opportunities and earned a 2-0 win over the visiting Parkland Pirates on May 27.

Police learned a woman had given the middle finger to another woman who grabbed a mace-style object and used it as a weapon in a threatening manner. There were no injuries from the incident.

Shuffleboard continues to provide fun along with stiff competition for two-person teams.
